New Rental Tuxedo & Suit Styles for 2012!

We are so excited to announce our latest additions to MyTuxedoCatalog.com!    This year, grey is going to be the most popular non-black color for prom and wedding formal wear, so we bought the Jean Yves grey ‘Twilight‘ in both Tuxedo and Suit form, as well as the Perry Ellis Evening grey ‘Madison‘ as a Tuxedo and Suit.   Also exciting this year is the slim fit black striped ‘Ridge‘ by Jean Yves.  The silhouette on this tux is great, and the black tonal stripe is so subtle, it add’s a nice touch to separate it from the rest of the black formal wear in the room.

Rounding out the new styles for 2011 are our 3 new long coats, the Black, White and IvoryCool‘ by Andrew Fezza.   We also have a new Destination Suit, the tan ‘Rapture‘ by Jean Yves.   Last is a basic black 3 button notch that we added last year, but it missed the catalog, the ‘Chaplin III.’  It joins the ‘Chaplin II’ and ‘Chaplin I’ in our Victory Line of basics.

See below for pictures of all our new 2011 Tuxedos and Suits, and click through to get all the specifics. And don’t forget, you can help us out by ‘starring’ your favorite styles on their product pages!

About Justin

Whether buying tuxedos or writing about them, I love men's formal wear. If it's traditional, modern or fashion tuxedos, there's a place for all formal wear in today's culture. I'm dedicated to seeing men's tuxedos stay in the public eye, and accessible to the public, for any occasion they're warranted. For the special occasions in life, 'Formal is Normal!'

What ever happened to the cummerbund?
    Anyone use these anymore?

I’m glad you asked!  Some people say that cummerbunds are out-dated.  We think that’s just plain silly.  Cummerbunds are an important part of a good formal look.  As is traditional with formal wear, cummerbunds hide the working parts of your ensemble (waist band and awkward bunching where shirt is tucked in) and it preserves the deep white “V” of the shirt when the coat is buttoned, which creates the impression of wide shoulders and a thin waist.  So we think they’re great, and definitely NOT out-dated.

To prove our point, check out any of the new James Bond movies.  In the movies (not the movie poster though), anytime Bond is dressed in a tuxedo, he’s also wearing a cummerbund.

That’s why we offer quite a few.  In fact, the most recent vest line we picked up, Synergy, also offered a complete line of cummerbunds that are now available.  You can check all of our cummerbunds out by following the link below.  Hope this helps!
