Formal Wear Spotlight: Tuxedos by Ike Behar

Formal Wear Spotlight: Tuxedos by Ike Behar

Ike Behar is an established and successful label in menswear already, mostly known for high quality dress shirts, ties, and suit jackets.  So a few years ago, when they took the plunge into the world of men’s rental formal wear, the outcome was some very natural, sophisticated, and successful tuxedo lines from a company that already understands what the modern day Dapper Dan wants.

In 2013, Paul Morrell Formalwear picked up the first two Ike Behar tuxedos to hit the market, the Black ‘Jackson’ and Black ‘Parker’ Tuxedos.  These were the first of the Slim Fit options that we currently carry.  Their updated fit made them perfect for the modern market, and their classic styling made them universally accessible.  In short, they were a bit hit.

In 2014, Paul Morrell Formalwear added several more Ike Behar tuxedos.  These included two classic black shawl lapel tuxedos, the Black ‘Braydon’ and the Black ‘Waverly’ Tuxedos, as well as a white dinner jacket, the White ‘Waverly’ Tuxedo, and last but not least, a modern fit black morning dress option, the Black ‘Wyatt’ Cutaway.  Each of these options filled a specific need in the rental market and continued to not only do well, but also help drive the demand towards a more classic variety of modern formal wear for men.

That is why in 2015, Paul Morrell Formalwear will add 4 more Ike Behar options to the formal wear line up.  And just like in past years, these styles also fill a specific need within the emerging formal wear market.

Grey tuxedos are easily the most popular rental options year round.  Their versatility and accessibility makes them strong renters regardless of venue.  So adding a Grey Ike Behar Tuxedo to our rental offerings just makes sense to help meet the increasingly high demand of grey tuxedos during peak seasons.

And if there is any one formal trend that can be described as “aggressively emerging”, it’s blue tuxedos.  That’s why we’re adding 3 Navy formal options from Ike Behar for 2015!  The first is the Navy ‘Blake’ Tuxedo, a one-button tuxedos with a black peak lapel, which is perfect for very formal occasions.  The next is the Navy ‘Sebastian’ Tuxedo, a two button notch tuxedo with satin navy lapels.  And finally there is the Navy ‘Collin’ Suit, for occasions that don’t quite call for a tuxedo.  These three navy styles we feel will be great modern options to meet the demand of this growing trend!
