January marks the beginning of a brand new year, and we’re off to a great start! As predicted, there was a lot more color variety in January the we typically find in the warmer months, which are generally dominated solely by grey tuxedos and suits and tan tuxedos and suits.
In January we see that grey tuxedos and suits still comprise the majority of the Top Ten Chart with 6 styles represented and classic black tuxedos hold 2 positions. The remainder of the top 10 list is split between the Midnight Blue ‘Maxwell’ Tuxedo by G. Alexander and the Chocolate ‘Premier’ Tuxedo by Jean Yves.
While brown tuxedos have been on the decline for the past few years, there is still a market for them, and that’s reflected on this month’s top 10 list. We expect both brown tuxedos and midnight blue tuxedos to make a bit of a comeback this prom season, though grey, tan, and black tuxedos are expected to be the most popular color choices this year.
We predict that classic black tuxedos and suits and other dark formal options like midnight blue will be popular in February as the cold weather continues. Check back with us to see how spot on we are!
